Logo Design Brief
I need a logo design for my alternative health practice. Currently I practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, but I have a background in the arts and am interested in eventually combining my interests. A possible manifestation of this would be a center where getting treated by trained and licensed medical practitioners is as important as taking a dance class or learning to paint. I also have an interest in eventually working with kids/youth, and I think it's important to keep a youthful sense of joy and wonder throughout life.
My website is: http://www.sweetlifehealing.com
The photos on my website are also on the backs of my business cards, one image per card, so people can choose what appeals to them. Image references that I like are mountains, water, and plants.
I have extended the deadline because throughout the process of looking at different designs, I had the idea that it would be interesting to draw inspiration from traditional Chinese chops/stamps. I'd like to see designs that incorporate the letters SLH, the words Sweet Life Healing, and/or an *abstract* visual reference to mountains/water/plants in a stamp-like image. I've attached two screen grabs of images that came up when I googled "Chinese seals". Traditional color is red but my logo does not have to be.

Project is now GUARANTEED! Game on!

Hi everyone, thanks for all your ideas so far. Some great stuff has been coming in, but I just wanted to open up the direction a little bit. Many designs are plant-centric, which makes sense and can be quite lovely, but I'm also interested in images inspired and sourced by other things as well. For instance, mountains are associated with compassion and water with wisdom (Confucius), which are concepts that fit well with my company. Whether you reference these landscapes through visual imagery or even source inspiration from the Chinese characters for mountain and water, which are quite pictographic in nature, I think some interesting and meaningful things can develop.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Thanks to all who have already submitted. After looking at different ideas and directions, I'd like to see more images involving creative use of the letters SLH or the words Sweet Life Healing. I'm particularly interested in the idea I posed as an update, which is essentially drawing from traditional Chinese chops/stamps for inspiration.

For those of you who are working with the letters "SLH", I have posted examples of the style and feel of Chinese calligraphy that I admire and would like to emulate in my logo.

I am particularly fond of the examples in Calligraphy1 for their expressivness, unique representation, and flow.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: An unexpected work project has come up for me which will prevent me from making a decision tomorrow, so I will keep the contest open until I am back and can return my full attention to it. I will still check in as often as I can to give feedback. Thanks to everyone!
