Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a fresh logo for my builder client. He formerly had a building business called A.A. Properties and I've tried to attach a pic of that logo here in this box. His company closed during the R.E. Crisis in 2008, but his reputation was very good and is quality is well known. He would like to retain some part of his former logo yet breathe new freshness into this new venture. His name is Kent Witten. He plans to build under the name Witten or Witten Homes or Kent Witten Builders. Looking for ideas, please help.
