Poster Design Brief

I need key art that can be used in a variety of iterations to promote a theatrical production of THE MOON OVER BUFFALO by Ken Ludwig. This is a comedy that takes place in 1953. "Theatrical hijinks ensue in this uproarious farce from Ken Ludwig. Fading stars George and Charlotte Hay are caught in repertory theatre purgatory, performing the unlikely duo of Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives in Buffalo. When news spreads that renowned movie mogul Frank Capra is coming to a matinee performance in hopes of signing leads for his upcoming feature film, mistaken identities, jangled nerves, and epic misunderstandings escalate into a riotous performance where anything that can go wrong does go wrong."

While the initial project is an 11"x17" poster, I need the essential design elements to be able to be replicated on a direct mail card, in email blitzes, etc.

**UPDATE**
Think playful and comedy. We love to see some designs that play with the idea of the stage and the city, but are also seriously considering the literal meaning of the title.
