Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new Boy Scout Troop. While in the process, we'd like to create a logo for the Cub Scout Pack as well that will have some synergy between the two. Both of these units are sponsored by Flagstaff Christian Fellowship in Flagstaff, AZ.

Attached files include what the cub scout pack has currently been using which is a logo that has been out for quite some time for cub scouts in general. Also attached is a similar one for Boy Scouts. We would like to create logos which are unique to us.

I would like the compass points integrated into each logo if possible.

Cub Scout Logo:
1. Cub Scout standard logo integrated
2. The words: "Pack 112" (Prominent)
3. The words: "Flagstaff Christian Fellowship" (not so prominent)
4. The words: "Strong values, Strong Leaders, Character Counts"
5. Blue and Gold are Cub Scout colors
6. The words: "Since 2007" (not prominent)

Boy Scout Logo:
1. Boy Scout standard logo integrated
2. The words: "Troop 39" (Prominent)
3. The words: "Flagstaff Christian Fellowship" (not so prominent)
4. The words: "Raising Godly Leaders"
5. The words: "Since 1965" (not prominent)

As is always the case, it's hard to break out of what we've known, so I am open to new ideas outside of what I've mentioned above.

A google image search for "troop logo" shows what kinds of things are being done for troops these days. The same for "cub pack logo" for cub scout packs.

We want ours to be classy yet bold. Highly detailed and showing depth for use in web stuff but can have a flat one or two color version that will work easily for screen printing.
