Logo Design Brief
I am a psychologist with a full-time private practice in the Denver, Colorado metro. I provide psychotherapy/counseling to individuals and couples ages 16 and older. Though I work with more women than men, I DO work with men, and thus do not want an overly feminine logo.
Logo doesn't necessarily need to include a bird, but DOES need to be in colors that coordinate with the attached bird photo which is used on my website, the back of my business cards, and brochures for doctor offices and churches. I do like nature (birds, mountains, trees).
I have the following quote from Brene Brown on the back of my business card: "Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change."
Target Market(s)
Young and middle-aged women and men looking for counseling. Doctors, pastors, chiropractors who would make referrals to me for counseling.

Must have
- The logo colors need to look good with the attached birds photo that I use on the back of the business card and website (drgenahicks.com), and will use on brochures describing my practice. So, please use colors that will coordinate with the photo--e.g., browns, navy, dark gray, pale yellow, dark rose, etc. It helps if you will submit your design WITH the attached photo so I can get a better visual. The logo will be used on letterhead as well, so please submit a form of the logo that will work on white/ivory paper.
- Also, I prefer less than more. I generally prefer that any symbol used be alongside and/or compact with the text versus a large picture above the text. I would also consider an artistic yet professional text only version.
- Thank you!!!!
Should not have
- The psychology symbol (the Greek Psi letter, aka the trident)
- Predominantly pink logo
- Bright/Primary Colors
