Adelaide Swords Club is Adelaide's largest and premier fencing club. We are celebrating our 80th anniversary (1936 - 2016) and want to commemorate with a special edition tshirt (and hoodie).
The tshirt will only be available to club members, children and adults of both sexes.
We want something that reflects the distinguished nature of the sport, and the historical aspect. Uniforms and equipment have changed greatly over the last 80 years, and the era when our club was founded has a certain element of romanticism (see the attached "mood board" images).
Target Market(s)
Members of the fencing club - these range from 10 year olds to 50 year olds of both sexes. The merch won't be available outside of the fencing club.

Requirements
Must have
- Scope to be printed on a tshirt (men's AND women's cut) as well as a hoodie (hooded fleecy jumper) - this means the imagery needs to be unisex but please keep in mind the shape of women's bodies if using lots of straight lines (e.g. swords).
- We will have the tshirt printed in both men's and women's tshirt cuts, so please keep that in mind.
Nice to have
- Preference for something the reflects the distinguished nature of the sport - think "old-school" imagery of fencers from the 40s and 50s (Errol Flynn!). Design could have just swords and masks, or the whole fencer - see attached photos for inspiration.
- We want to incorporate the club's name (Adelaide Swords Club) and years of operation (1936 - 2016) on the shirt, but it this doesn't work with the design, they can be a small graphic on the back of the tshirt.
- Logo is attached but this does not need to be used.
Should not have
- Any puns about building fences. Other visual puns may be acceptable (but it's so subjective!).
