Overview
Rouse Hill Anglican church is located in Sydney’s North West Region, one of the fastest developing areas of Sydney. The church has approximately 200 members, and is growing every month.
The growth has meant that a new building was built in 2008 to accommodate the future growth. The church is held in the modern auditorium, named the Ministry & Education Centre – it is a fun, lively and community oriented atmosphere and is a church that is an absolute joy to be a part of.
Based on the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Rouse Hill region has a higher than average “Christian” population as noted in the 4 yearly consensus, however a disproportionately large number of people not attending a church. So what this tells us, is that people in the area have some sort of affiliation or connection to Christianity or Churches, in fact 22% consider themselves “Anglican”, but are not actively going to church – this is the barrier we’d like to break down.

Purpose of this brief
To create a brand for our church, to one that is modern, new and inviting that encourages an inquisitive nature & visits to the church.
Success would be a brand representation that outlines our Vision, Mission & Attributes . Success would see an uplift in visitors to our church, from people in our local community.

To see God known and loved by people in Sydney’s North West as they give their lives to Him.

Church Mission
- Rouse Hill Anglican Church EXISTS because the Grace of Jesus Christ Changes Lives!
- Rouse Hill Anglican Church SEEKS to make and grow followers of Jesus Christ.
- Rouse Hill Anglican Church LONGS to see God known and loved by people in Sydney’s North West as they give their lives to Him.

Church Attributes (i.e. tone of voice)
- Primary: Christ Centred.
- Secondary: Welcoming, Friendly, Modern, Honest, Inviting, Fresh, Community oriented, Fun, Light natured, Organised & well run.

Who is RHAC for? (i.e. target market)
- Rouse Hill Anglican Church is for all walks of life. As you will see from our website, it caters for the wide range of age groups from our community from new born babies, families, singles, adults teens, children and the elderly – and cultural diversity is a given; Sydney as a whole and in particular the Rouse Hill region is extremely culturally diverse.

- What response are we after?
We desire the response from the community to be a positive one. A response which makes them feel invited, makes them feel that “something different” is happening in this church, and a response which makes them feel like this is something new and alive – a refreshing approach on a church community.
Essentially, the response required is to break down any barriers or preconceived ideas so that they would want to visit Rouse Hill Anglican Church; we know many in the area cosinder themselves Christians, so want ot get them back in touch with Christian groups such as Rouse Hill Anglican Church.


Examples of brand insitu to be included in the response:

As part of the response, we’d like to see some rough examples on how the branding would look in the following locations – to ensure the “brand” & logos are achieving what it needs to in each space.
• Logo – To be in line with the tone of voice mentioned above.
• Roadside signage – check Google Street view: 658 Windsor Rd. ROUSE HILL NSW Australia. (Cnr of Windsor Rd & Mile End Rd)
o Signage to be bold & eye catching
o Incorporate church name. Church website www.rhac.org.au. Service times (Sunday 10am. “Church@5” 5pm)
o Notice: “Carpark entry via Adelphi St” – possibly separate strip under the main sign?
• Example of the tront page of our website www.rhac.org.au
• Letterhead
• Example of a flyer promoting a once off activity (e.g. Christmas service)
• Example of PowerPoint using the newly designed “brand”
