Logo Design Brief
This is a logo to advertise surfboard wax which has been moulded in the shape of a penis. It is meant to be a fun antidote to the huge number of misogynistic surf products on the market for men (eg breast shaped wax), and ultimately targeted at women who surf, but also be a fun product for men. It needs to have a unisex market and largely be fun / funny. The wax is also made from coconut oil and beeswax, so there is an Eco / sustainability element to it as well.
Target Market(s)
Surfers - especially women who surf, but all surfers. Most likely to be adults over the age of 18, and predominantly in their 20s and 30s. We are based in Byron Bay, Northern NSW, so this is a fairly 'hip' market (but we want to target an international market).

Requirements
Must have
- The wax itself is about 12 cm long and 8cm wide at its widest point. The packaging can be adjusted to accommodate the logo (which will be the main labelling for the wax), but needs to work in that size range. File six gives an example of how the packaging will probably look. File 5 shows what the product looks like.
Nice to have
- Some humour / fun. The attached files illustrate the types of ideas that we like (except the Mighty Mounds wax).
Should not have
- Should not be explicitly sexual - existing products are highly mysogynistic and not at all discrete. See the attached picture example of the Mighty Mounds surf wax (File 3) - this is the exact opposite of what we're trying to achieve!
