Logo Design Brief

We need a logo that is short and sharp. Easy to remember. Easily transferable to business cards, uniforms and stationary.
One idea was bold red capital letters of BFA. The letters are touching with a bright green first aid cross running through the middle of the F and the horizontal of the cross running into the B and the A.
The main colors would preferably be charcoal, lime green cross and red, but open to different color scheme suggestions at this point.
Our business provides training of first aid courses to groups and should convey professionalism, efficiency and trust.
