Logo Design Brief

The logo needs to convey credibility and authority. Coffee Intell will be a company providing consulting services to people that commercially roast coffee ('Coffee Roasters') . The services will include technical advice on what equipment to purchase in their roasting facility, what packaging materials to purchase, methods to justify capital purchases, standard quality assurance standards and methods, emissions management, carbon footprint analysis, cost of goods analysis, lower costs for purchased goods through group negotiation etc...

The services will not be delivered via the traditional face to face meetings where excessive costs can be consumed while the consultant "learns" the customer's needs then researches the solution. Instead, Coffee Intell will provide online tools to allow each Coffee Roasters to input their own situation and determine their specific solution. By taking advantage of the tools, Coffee Intell will be able to deliver these services for significantly less cost than a traditional consultant.

The target market is any commercial coffee roaster worldwide. However, at this stage it will be based in the US.

For design ideas, I am not a fan of the traditional coffee colours (brown and other warm earth tones) and prefer a more technical, authoritative look with colder blues with red accents. That said, I welcome other thoughts.

A final point that would be good to convey in the logo is the concept of tapping into the "intelligence of the group". Coffee Intell will tap into this intelligence and provide analysis to its subscribers for a nominal cost.
