Logo Design Brief

I would like a new logo that really captures my brand - Story Art

Please look at my website to understand what I create. My imagery is detailed, complex and exciting. I would like the graphic artist designing my logo to capture this.

I'm a digital photographic artist. I create whimsical photoshopped composites telling stories.

I do not want a camera in the logo. I don't want a cliche logo.

I'd like a subtle graphic that links with the name Story Art

I'd like a full colour EPS one and a white (and reversible black) version for watermarks on my photos.

I've tried for some time myself to come up with a suitable logo, but I've not been happy with any of my creations.

I want something that is a touch whimsical, with a hint of fairytale and a little classic and gothic.

I do cater to corporate commercial clients too, so I don't want the logo overly 'child like'.

I will also use the logo as an emboss seal on my fine art prints, so I either need a simple version for that or the logo should lend itself to this use.

I have attached several of my images to this project along with a screen grab of the front page of my website. I would like to see how the logo looks on 'Alice' as a white watermark in the corner.

You will see my old logo on 'The Stand' image. The circle does work well, but this was only ever a very temporary logo.

I really want something fresh and I'd love to see some variety in the designs.

Requirements

Must have

• 'Story Art' must be clearly legible.
• It must work as a white watermark version (alternate) on my images
• It must work on my website - www.storyart.com.au
• It must work as a seal (or an alternate simplified rounded version supplied for the press seal)

Nice to have

• I might like a graphic component that subtly communicates my product (whimsical, story, creative)
• I want to make this an animated logo also for my videos. So something that will animate well (I will do this) would be preferred.

Should not have

• Nothing cliche. I don't want a camera, I don't want fairies, I don't want anything 'tacky'. I target a high end market.
