Logo Design Brief
GENEius Science is a new, Canadian, non-profit science outreach organization. We offer lab workshops for youth in the areas of genetics and biotechnology to teach skills in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). We would like a design that is appealing to youth ages 14-18 and educators, is modern and uses simple colours, and is intuitive to the nature of our programs (biotechnology/genetics/STEM).
We are interested in seeing designs with a memorable, UNIQUE image that is related to the "GENEius" play on words (genetics/intelligence, etc.). Please make this the focus of your work.

Must have
- A unique design appealing to youth (14-18 years old) that is related to the "GENEius" play on words. Use of simple, complementing colours (maximum three colours). Fun, distinctive, memorable, timeless, scalable, simple enough for use with multiple mediums, adaptable (color and black and white), and communicates qualities of the brand.
- A design related to the nature of the organization (genetics and biotechnology - e.g. DNA, chromosomes, cells, but not limited to these).
Nice to have
- A design that could be converted into a fun cartoon science character (DNA, brains, lab animal, or other science-type stuff).
Should not have
- Depictions of male or female scientists, mad scientists, or other science stereotypes. No human silhouettes.
- Not cold or too corporate/serious/mechanical looking.
- Not too many colours.
- Generic font as the main focal point.
