Logo Design Brief

We need to develop a new logo for a large regional convention. The focus is on firearms, shooting accessories and outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, boating, etc.
We have uploaded the current logo (blue & orange logo) however there is too much of an emphasis on guns alone and not enough on the other outdoor aspects featured at the convention.
We currently like the blue and orange colors but open to other combinations but try to keep the colors to 3-4 max.
The event takes place in Jacksonville, Florida however people will be traveling from all over the Southeast: GA, NC, SC, TN, MS & AL. This is the first year for this multi-day event.

The logo needs to communicate that it is not just a gun show but remain simple and clean in design.
