Poster Design Brief
Needing a series of signs to be designed, each based on a standard design as per the below.
The standard poster (measuring 2000mm high by 720mm wide) will be located on a door that some 400k individuals will be walking past. The poster needs to be able to stop a very significant proportion of these individuals in their tracks, and motivate them to come over and read more.
What does the poster advertise? Our tours. Dive Busselton Jetty offers underwater walking tours in dive helmets off the end of the iconic Busselton Jetty, 1.8kms out from the shore.
The final design must be
1. visually striking / GRAB attention
2. be very simple and easy to make sense of all information on it
3. and communicate wonder / excitement / fun.
A mockup of the basic layout for the poster is attached showing headlines and copy required:
- size of font, and relative size of items within the sign v much up to you to decide - as long as achieve requirements above.
- High rez files for all images used are available.
- Female seawalker needs to be superimposed on background that has the the two jetty pylons covered in colourful corals. (Existing diver in these photos to be replaced.)
- Suggesting photos may work within an oval frame - seen something similar and liked the "dreamlike" feel it added.
- Wanting photos to dominate the sign / be the focus of the sign / be as big as possible whilst ensuring headlines and copy easy to read / make sense of.
