Hi,

Its really nicely detailed sketch. Does the logo you need have to have the same figures (positions) as per the example you have provided or can there be different figures?? Also the figures other then the guy in the suit, what colours would you want them to be?? The jeans will be blue and the hat yellow, please suggest if you have anything specific in mind for the remaining colour combination.

Thanks,
Juthika

Hello Juthika,

Thank you for your consideration. I am certainly open to your creativity and profesional advice and look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

A few details that help explain my thoughts on logo design:

- I have 3 brothers that are now working for Reid & Co. as construction managers of some sort, that is where the idea of the 4 construciton manager looking profiles come from. I would like to see blue jeans and work boots or cowboy boots on all but one figure and hardhats on all but the one as well. certainly open to any figures you may have in mind to show 4 brothers collaborating on construction mgmt. and any positions you create ( the ones i found on stock photo just for example) I am open to color, but thought the black shadow profile look would keep it simple??

- I like the vintage look of copper, hand scraped or rough sawn timber and the tarnish green that copper turns when weathered.

- rustic nails or bolt heads are also a thought to include if it looks ok

- the rustic (old cut style) nails in a cross pattern in place of the & sign is something i thought would add style

- Reid & Co. seems simpler than company for logo??

- i like greens and blacks and the natural copper or old barn wood/timber look for backgrounds

Hope that helps answer some questions. Please let me know of any other questions you may have.

Thank you in advance,
Reid

Hi,

Your sketches brief are an illustration NOT a logo... too complicated for a logo
In crowd sourcing, most of designer are creative designer, not executive designer.

Thanks for the comment. Im just a construction guy, i appreciate the advice and have recently got other feedback very similar... i understand and appreciate your profesional advice. I think i need to go after a simplified logo and ditch the illustration that i thought was a good direction a few days ago.

please feel free to submit any simple/creative logo to help me realize what i need to look profesional :)

thanks for the honest feedback! I value your profesional opinion.

First :
You have to find your graphic identity (logo brand, color mood for your flyers, web site, leaflet...).

Second :
An illustration could be useful for design content (on your website, flyers...), to explain your business, process...

but remember that your logo is your identity, it must be simple, clean, eye catching for your customer. When a customer see your logo, it must say : "hey, i want work with this guy, it's very professional (and the logo must transmit this)". The logo is also something that catch brain of possibly customer : "I know this logo, it's Building Solution, they are very professional".

Regards

Hey there! I submitted a few studies a while ago. I'm just wondering if you're still going after that rustic/distressed look? I'd appreciate some feedback.

Thanks,
KD
