Social media software company "ActSocial" is looking for a logo - primarily to be used on the SaaS website, but also strong and flexible to use as a general purpose logo on many applications (stationary, signage, t-shirt)

Brand personality is:

Must have

• Must look good in a thin menu bar (think FaceBook size menu bar) so it will be a primarily horizontal format that is not complex, and is easy to read.
  
  Must look good in both small sizes and large sizes.
  

Nice to have

• Nice to have a stylized letter "A" in wordmark that can be used separately as a lettermark.
  Prefer flat design / no shadows or 3D please.
  

Should not have

• No talk bubbles / callouts please. Too common.
