Logo Design Brief

We need a superhero-themed logo for our conference. The conference theme is "Heroic Efforts". The focus of the conference is school librarianship; the audience is teachers and particularly those who work in school libraries (digital, books, apps, etc.). The conference will celebrate the amazing efforts of school librarians to advance learning. The logo needs to work on letterhead and websites, and will be copied in colour and b&w, so simplicity and clarity is important. We are the BC Teacher-Librarians' Association, http://bctla.ca. Our colours are blue and green as you can see on the main association website. However, an emphasis on blue would be ideal as would a match with the template design already in place at http://bctlaconference.ca.
