Logo Design Brief

*Update - Wasn't sure where I'd like the design to go, but going from the submissions so far, I more or less do now.

Could we try digitizing it? Not too cheesy, so that ends up looking like every other computer, hacker, Matrix and you know where I am going with this. Those designs with random characters surrounding one word in cleartext - been done too many times!

I've attached, concept 1, which is something that'd like to be seen done. It has humor in it with the characters or stick people (an unfortunate attempt eh?). The random google search 1 (shortend to rgs1) another example I'm interested in.

I'd like a logo for personal branding and presentation purposes (it'd be nice to stand out a little from millions of other IT Engineers). The basis of the logo is my name, Daniel Martins. It will be on the website (not yet built or anything else done with it) showcasing myself in a resume type look but also have a technical blog. It will also go on documents, business cards and anything else that I can point at and say that is me!

Background:
* Field and hobby is IT! I am an Engineer working with hardware (servers, routers, switches and so on) and software (administration such as networks, security, virtualisation and so on).
* Gaming!
* Outdoors as much as in!
* Love learning and moving to bigger and better things!

My inspiration comes from David Blane's logo (doesn't mean the logo needs to incorporate some IT related objects). Colour wise I'd be fine to let you decide (Male here so wouldn't like the pinks, purples and you know where I am going with this...). It need not utilize my background as a basis for the design. Does the logo need text? I'll leave that down to you! I'll likely use the winning logo's colour or theme as the basis for the website design so don't fret on that!

That is all I want so as not to hamper you all or might not have said enough eh?
