Logo Design Brief

We currently have a logo, but that was for our old name: BSDL (Biotechnology Studies Delft Leiden). We would like a fresher logo for our new name (BioTech Delft(Fully: Biotechnology Academy Delft)).
It could be nice if there could me made a reference to our original (old)logo.
It would also be nice to see the full name smaller in the logo back.

BioTech Delft is an organisation who organised advanced courses for professionals and researchers at post-graduate level. Check our website: www.biotechnologycourses.nl
Our mission will become a bit broader: we will do more out-reach activities than only courses, e.g. promotion of biotechnology on public events and high schools.

We have a tight link with Delft University of Technology, so blue would be a prefered color, but we would like to be able to adjust the color of the logo for multiple purposes.
Some elements of the old logo may come back in the new one. The people know the old logo and it shows what BioTechnology is about: DNA, (enzyme)chemistry and bioreactors.

Note: no reference to BAD (Biotechnology Acadamy Delft). We would like to promote BioTech Delft as abriviation
