Logo Design Brief
Our company is called Rising Tide Properties
We help four different groups of people. People looking for properties (e.g. house) to sell due to a need they may have, people looking to lend money to improve their investments, people looking to buy a house for their family, and giving back to the community. Our mission is to help all four groups through ‘raising them up.’ The visual is ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’.
Our initial thoughts are a simple, happy, logo of, perhaps five boats (representing the buyer, seller, investor, community and those supporting us (like employees)) rising on a gentle tide. The tide represents opportunity.
Ideally, when someone sees this logo, we want to convey, through the logo, a positive, helpful, feeling, a sense that ‘everyone wins’ or does better, that they will be dealing with professionals who are reliable, and have their best interest in mind.
Updates
We've learned today that we will only be able to go with a logo and no text.Also, we've had a number of really good submissions. The four boats are important, and those will some color are catching the idea of the team.The key item about the boats are when someone sees the logo, on, for instance, a business card and ask what the meaning of the boats are - we can then move into a discussion about what we do for the seller, buyer, lender, and community - each gives us an opportunity to discuss these four key areas of our business. - Our thoughts are five boats rising on a gentle tide. The boats do not need to be traditional looking boats - but we need five. The tide represents opportunity. The five boats represent five key groups of people in our business. When people see the logo ideally they ask us 'what does that mean as it relates to property' and it gives us an opportunity to talk to each boat 'group' they represent and the 'tide' under it being opportunity for all four groups to win/be successful.
- We also need a logo with no text as we may need to operate under different names in different states in the US. Though, later, we will likely add the name of the company Rising Tide being the main name, and the rest of it may be different - e.g. Rising Tide Properties, or Rising Tide Services - so we may need to put the name in next too, or under, or above the logo at some point.
Nice to have
- Colors - similar or around those attached.
- But the design is such that when gray scaled it looks good too.
Should not have
- An impression of flooding or a tide washing over boats
