Logo Design Brief
I have bought two different companies that I have merged. One called Bear Hill Studio is a magnet and ornament company that sells souvenir magnets and ornaments- very souvenir oriented with largely cartoon like designs (some natural stone and animal designs too) The magnets and ornaments are about 20% made in Canada, the rest come from overseas. The second company is called Dazzling Gourmet gifts and they specialize in flatware, serving ware and cutlery that is adourned with wire and bead work (sometimes stone, pewter charms, etc.). We are entirely made in Canada, and do about 50% of our business to the souvenir / tourist trade (Inukshuks, Maple Leafs, etc.), while about 50% of our business is to kitchen and gift store (somewhat of a more sophisticated market than the traditional souvenir market. Our target audiences are largely tourists of all ages, but the target market for the Dazzling Gourmet line is probably females from 25 to 65 years of age. We do 95% of our business as wholesale to retail shops across the country.I will upload the 2 exisiting logos that I have for Bear Hill Studio and Dazzling Gourmet Gifts - the swirl in the Dazzling Gourmet logo is used throughout the line in most of our products.I will also upload a catalogue from each range to give you a feel for the products we sell.

Project Deadline Extended Reason: I appreciate the designs submitted thus far, but am still waiting to find the right one. I like the idea of morphing the Maple Leaf and the Swirl from the two companies as many of you have done, but am open to something more comprehensive (preferrably something that incorporates the swirl and maple leaf and perhaps some other design elements??). I want the logo to include the "featuring dazzling gourmet" or "featuring the Dazzling Gourmet gifts line" tagline. I want to get away from the existing bubbly type font of the current Bear Hill logo, and go to something a little more contemporary.
