Podcast Design Brief

Need a logo design for a blog website and related podcast called Life Sausage. Life Sausage is a collaborative project of 9 people focused on discussions about quality of life, modern spirituality and how to live life well as members of local, as well as global communities. It is focused on lightening the load of daily life. We talk about social issues, life wisdom, good music, and good food and wine.

The name, Life Sausage, is intended to be whimsical and to make people smile. The tag line is "Life's a grind...make sausage." It's a play on doing the best with what we have and with what others have to offer in both good times and bad.

I would like the design to incorporate the idea of sausage, but I don't want cartoonish sausages spelling out the name. That's dumb. I want a more modern look and I want it to incorporate the color blue. So I want two main things here--I want a logo that says "Life Sausage" with AND without the tag, "Life's a Grind...Make Sausage." If you'd like to take a try at incorporating an icon or a logo with the copy/text that would be great. Be creative as I'll reiterate, NO CARTOONISH stuff.
