Logo Design Brief

We are a privately owned 1 and a 1/2 doctor small animal (dogs and cats mostly) veterinary hospital based in Upper Darby, PA, and have been part of the community since the 1950's. We have a very "family" oriented practice with long term employees who know the clients well. Our goal is to provide quality medical care with compassion in a friendly, non-pretentious, fun environment. My employees and coworkers frequently use the word "quirky" to describe me, and I'm hoping to convey just a tiny bit of my "quirk" in the logo, while still conveying professionalism.

While I like the following color combos 1) medium to dark gray/off white/dark teal 2) green/medium to dark gray/off white, I am open to suggestion on color themes.
