Illustration Design Brief
We have designed a teaching game called "Up & Out: The Community-Building Game" in which players build a town using hexagonal tiles. There are four tile types: Country, Neighborhood, Business, and Downtown. The tiles are 3.25" from flat side to flat side.
We need a graphic design for one tile (choose any of the four tile types). The tile should represent the feature in a pictorial manner, say a Neighborhood represented by houses and parks. The tile needs to have a road passing through at least two faces of the hexagon. It also needs to have grass or a green background. The roads and grass will be on all tiles, so that they can connect in a map-like way similar to the tiles in the game Carcasonne.
We would like the tile to have bright colors and look map-like. A few examples of images are attached, the Carcasonne one (although it is square) has the look of a map and a nice color for the grass. Probably the view should be from above to keep the map-like look. There is also a Gheos example in which the rivers connect the triangle-shaped tiles. Also, attached also is the logo for the new game Up and Out.
To be clear, only one tile needs to be drawn, either Downtown, Neighborhood, Country, or Business.
Target Market(s)
