Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new technology company based in Europe. We build trading platforms, algorithmic robots and analytics tools for energy trading companies: oil majors, utilities, banks, physical trading houses. Our first product is a cloud-based marketplace for energy commodities such as natural gas, electricity, emissions and coal. We want our logo to reflect intelligence applied to the service of others and connection of many different ideas. We are open to more than one or two colours and have provided our own tentative logos as attached files: the first one tries to convey the idea that algorithms are going to be everywhere in our industry (hence the matrix-like background). The second one reads "Energy of the future" in binary code (twice). We are not wedded at all to the light bulb; it is just what we had.
