Flyer Design Brief
Soul Food restaurant is introducing a new seafood menu concept. We will offer fish, shrimp and scallops...and fried chicken wings (I know its not seafood) by the pound. A person would be able to order a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1lb any one of the above items for a fixed price.
For example, a 1/4 pound of whiting fish could be $6 whereas a $1 could be $15. All items comes with fresh cut natural fries or one side.
Drinks are not included - important
There is no other restaurant in our vicinity who offers fresh seafood by the pound! This is a totally new concept for the area so we want to really have the WOW factor...really blowing customers away.
There will be different pricing for each item but the quantity will be the same for each (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or 1lb). We have not determine the pricing so you can use whatever USD amounts you like for now.
The goal is to create a double sided flyer that will absolutely stand out.
front side - new seafood content menu
back side - current menu (attached are 2 jpegs of current menu)
The flyer design will be used for:
1. Hand-outs: to people walking
2. Poster: 3ftx4ft outside poster for the sidewalk display
3. Postcards: (5inx7in) double side, high gloss postcards
I am looking for something bright, colorful, easy to read, eye catching and with a clear call to action. I want them to come right in and order right then and there.
Pictures - I would like you to provide high res pictures since ours may not be high res and thus taking away from the design.
The menu items are very standard so finding high res pictures will be easy.
Items are:
1. fried catfish nuggets (Cajun style)
2. fried whiting (fish local to North-East US)
3. fried sea scallops
4. fried jumbo shrimp
5. fried chicken wings
We use a light golden brown flour based batter so images should be a nice golden brown one. Again, high res images.
Our restaurant name, address, email, number, facebook and website and hours of operation should be on flyer showing prominently but without taking away from new menu items.
facebook: soulbythepoundnj and website: www.soulbythepound.net has the aforementioned details.
Updates
Listed below is a seafood menu I found on the internet. I like this a lot. So, you can either take this into consideration when designing your own or recreate the menu exactly; font, layout, styling and overall design BUT change the 2 primary colors to match my logo color scheme. My logo has a purplish, green and red color in it. You can use the purplish and green color as to 2 primary with the red as ascents. Hope this makes it easier.
