I work with a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Joseph Henry in Tustin, California. He has been an SEO client of ours for many years. We are redesigning his website and all agree he needs a new logo design!
I have the following notes on the attached file of the current logo: (Henry_OLD logo)
-The initials “JJH” in the logo has NO substance or connection with the visitors. We want to remove those.
-The name will remain “Orange Center for Cosmetic Dentistry”. Besides the blue, the logo as it stands looks like an afterthought and doesn’t match the look and feel of the brand. It looks like text dumped on a squiggle…
-For the color… we need to keep it blue, but not ALL blue like it is now. We would want to add in some earth-toned colors to the logo as accents to modernize it and make it pop a little more vs. blending in.
The customer base is mid-to-upper income families, women and professionals; general, cosmetic and TMJ related consumers and the ideal customer is someone with money to spend on higher end dental procedures/treatments – people who have smile/appearance issues/self confidence.
Product is marketed through word of mouth and website/internet.
Main focus of the business is o Higher end cosmetic dentistry procedures (porcelain veneers, dental implant restorations, dentures) and TMJ/sleep apnea
What sets Dr. Henry apart from competitors Dr. Henry is that he is a fellow LVI-trained dentist with additional credentials in neuromuscular dentistry. He also is a clinical instructor on the LVI campus.

His website is http://www.drhenrysmiles.com/ but like I mentioned, it's about to be completely redesigned.
He doesn’t have a brand in the general consumer conscience, his brand is primarily with his local patients and area – highly personable, cares about his patients, quality dentistry.
In addition to the practice name, ORANGE CENTER FOR COSMETIC DENTISTRY we may want to also add his name into the logo - maybe try with and without. His name is: JOSEPH J. HENRY D.D.S.
He likes the soft smile/curves in some of the attachments with SAMPLE in them. These are also some that he pulled out of a lot that we went through for examples.
I think he likes the idea of the "O" and the "C" in the title being built into the design.
I'm not sure he knows what he wants - so we are struggling with this one a bit.
Updates
Please don't use any teeth in the logo from here on out - I think we have enough teeth logos. He wants it to be more subtle and elegant - more of a subliminal smile than a tooth. Thank you!
