Logo Design Brief

The PENINSULA CANTARE is dedicated to keeping alive the great choral masterpieces and exploring new music for the education and enjoyment of our audiences. The choir members come from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Program repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the twenty-first century; from a cappella literature to major works with orchestra. In addition to Bay Area concerts, the choir has traveled on six international tours. The current trend in choir logos is flourishy and classical with uses of maroons and golds. We would like to somehow bridge the gap between that classic style and something more modern or artsy - and perhaps incorporating a graphic having to do with the San Francisco Bay Area - the shape of the Peninsula, Golden Gate Bridge. Clean, easy to read and able to be used on our website, Ts-shirts, badges etc.

• Would be nice to also have a combination of text and figure

Nice to have

• Some identifying symbol, mark, image reminiscent of the SF Peninsula or SF Bay Area
• Should be somewhat jazzy or hip
• Would be a winner if somehow hit traditional choral and jazzy; traditional with a younger look

Should not have

• Should not just be stayed or "old school" - nothing ultra traditional please
