Card Design Brief
WEEFC is a nonprofit educational fund that raises money annually from the parent community to provide enrichment programming in the Weston Public Schools (in Massachusetts). Our intention is to revamp our fall appeal mailing to a more interesting/reader friendly format. In the past, we have simply mailed an appeal letter on our letterhead explaining what we do to all families in the school system. Our thought is to redesign our mailing by folding an 8 and 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper in half, creating a folding card that opens from the bottom which will fit into a 6x9 envelope. Rather than simply including text, we want to try to convey our message using more graphics and colors. We have the start of a design that I am sending you that will give you an idea of the information that we want to convey, our logo and also contains more information about what we do. It is only a working draft, and although our Board does like the concept, we are open to other ideas as well. Our school colors are maroon and white, and our logo is the outline of a maroon triangle with WEEFC underneath. The colors of the mailing should incorporate the maroon, although other colors should definitely be included. We want it visually appealing without too much verbiage. Our tagline is - 100% of Parents Supporting 100% of Weston School Children.

Our target audience is parents of school aged children. WEEFC funds provide programming for all grades - pre-K through 12.
