Thanks for your questions.
LED's. Are they meant to be buttons? No
or purely there to show some sort of a status? Yes
Should they be designed with the remote control icon incorporated? No
Are there three of them or is each color a different state for a single LED? There is only one LED with four states, including black/off

Is the Designer who wins the contest expected to complete all the extra buttons based on your budget ($260)?
