Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for webpage, tshirts, cards etc for an animal rescue organization, non profit 501c3. Called Little Tails Rescue, Inc. we will be rescuing small dogs and cats from shelters and adopting to loving homes. One idea I have is a dog and cat pictured almost noses touching with tails up in the air. then underneath them the name in fun colorful lettering and above the name maybe some paws. Open to all ideas though. Although rescue can be sad, we would like a happy, lively webpage and colorful logo since that same logo will be on all material in future. Although I want colorful and happy this is still an organization helping dogs and cats so it can't be silly though.
