Logo Design Brief
Heads up people and Australian designers in particular! This is an easy job. It's easy money and if you're design is good, I have a lot of graphic work to come.
THE JOB: My existing logo just needs a facelift, a makeover to bring it up to date.
The logo should still be in the same shape with the words "Sydney Doors" in it (which is our business name), "Sydney Doors" should be in a bold but modern font. The door should NOT have a frame around it as this looks like an internal type door which we do not make. The existing door shape can be made to look more abstract. There should be NO ARCH in the door.
IMPORTANT: The words "Kitchen doors" and "Wardrobe doors" needs to be added to the logo (as these are the types of door we do make). Please keep in mind that the logo sometimes appears very small (for example in ads) and the words "Kitchen doors" and "Wardrobe doors" should still be easy to read.
The logo needs to feature the same colours as the 2 versions that are attached to this job. (Either yellow plus white and black or orange plus white and black).

We need a redesign of our existing logo. Our business name is Sydney Doors and we manufacture kitchen and wardrobe doors. The new logo must include the words: “Kitchen doors” and “Wardrobe doors”. Please keep in mind that the logo sometimes appears very small (for example in adverts) and the text below it still needs to be large enough so that it is easy to read.
I want a solid design, preferably still within the shape of a door, so that the logo has bulk, is still a rectangular block, a substantial shape, not just a line of text. I would like to see the words inside a door shape, much like that of our original logo. Not exactly the same but stylised (more abstract) and without the arch shape on the top of the door.
The logo should be striking, uncluttered and up to date. I would like black, white, yellow or the orange colour of our old logo. Perhaps 2 versions, one with yellow and one with orange. We want to stand out from the crowd but be relevant and upmarket.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Where are all the Australian designers? Why have none of the invited designers made a submission? The quality of designs so far, has been very low and I haven't seen any that can even be modified to suit.
I have updated my brief to try and make it clearer and describe exactly what I want for my logo update.
