Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a growing heating & plumbing company specializing in residential installation and service. The company has been in business since 1984 but has not ever really had a logo. Typically we have used navy/silver in the past but we also like lime green. We want a logo that is going to work well for hats & t-shirts. We would like to see logos for Harlan O. Martin Heating & Plumbing as well as H.O. Martin Heating & Plumbing as we are trying to determine how we want it to read. We do not want any specific tools in the logo such as a wrench, hammer, pipes, etc. "Since 1984" can also be incorporated into the logo.
