Book Cover Design Brief

Adult paranormal romance cover & e-cover (jpeg longest side not to exceed 2500 pixels, 1600 x 2500 uploads fine), 72 dpi, RGB. Plus, paperback pdf with back approximately 254 pages, .64 spine (16.26 mm), 300dpi, bleed .5, size 5.5 x 8.5. leave room for ISBN on back bottom right. Books 1 and 2 of series (The Dauphnir Rings: Mercy/ & Ascension) are on Amazon.com. Author name S. R. Thompson, for reference. New font will need to be selected. For book 3 Distortion, I am hoping for an inverted Egyptian pyramid, prefer nighttime because that is when they will break into the Giza in order to find Isis's hidden amber amulet. The title Distortion happens because the main character can see the secret inverted doorway inside the Giza that accesses Isis's hidden room. The main character's (Josie & Talak) will have a tattoo magically created on them (heart area) during the immortal ceremony. The tattoo is planned as an inverted pyramid with the arabic symbol/word for Hidden on top of (or could use a simple triangle whatever works best). If a human element is needed Josie has light brown hair, multi-tonal, and blue-green eyes, wears ponytails a lot almost age 17, her soon to be immortal mate Talak St. James (actor Alex Pettier was my inspiration for the look of the character include snapshot as reference only) is desperately trying to prevent Josie from dying and becoming a portal (she gets engulfed in bright light floating off her bed in one scene another scene the light glows behind her eyes). The tattoo also has ribbons of amber weaved in it symbolic of the amulet they are searching for. Isis's amulet will let her control the portal so she can live. The overall series is about a team of 8 immortal guardians that are each fated for one person if their magical ring doesn't find them then they might turn into the evil they are protecting mankind from. The first half of the book is set in Salem, MA there is a scene with Ouija board that tells them to find the amulet and go to Egypt or die (another idea for cover is the eye from the Ouija board maybe over a map of Egypt.) Before breaking into the Giza they trek through the desert with a team to a Hidden Pyramid to get clues. The Hidden Pyramid is buried in sand and they magically move the sand to access it. I have uploaded a snapshot from shutter stock that reminds me of Josie especially her eyes, but I have not purchased any of the snapshots. Also included Arabic word for hidden. ADDING INFORMATION 9/14: All of the above is correct. A few additional comments in general but are not in anyway needed to be added. Everyone's work is awesome! The series is based in 2023. All of the immortals (7 guys, 1 women are bad to the bone warriors - there is nothing soft about them and killing is what they do best but times have changed and they are more refined and blend into society.) Book 3 Distortion is Talak's story he is the super brains, super hot ladies' man of the group and he goes undercover at Salem, MA high school where at first he doesn't know it but he meets his mate Josie - she's a nobody under baggy clothes. Talak will need to help save Josie or she dies. Their big mission is to go to Egypt to get Isis's amulet after they play jokingly Ouija board with friends at Witches Bluffs that talks directly to Josie. Josie is changing into a portal. The amulet is the only way for her to not die and be able to control the portal. Part of her changing is that her vision is changing hence I called the book Distortion because she is seeing things inverted or that others aren't able to see without the help of magical glasses. So they go to the Hidden Pyramid and use magic to gain entrance looking for clues which they get then they break into the Giza at night for the grand finale. The immortal ceremony happens inside the Giza where the leader strikes lightning into Josie's heart and at that moment The Dauphnir Ring (looks ancient/viking like) (each immortal has) divides identically for the chosen mate and a tattoo is engraved over their heart. Each immortal has a different symbol one that represents the couple. Though I can modify how I wrote it based on designs, at present it is an inverted triangle or pyramid with amber ribbons and the arabic word/symbol for hidden. One other element that does come up in the novel is the magical tropical yellow flower from the deadly Karakoram Mountain, that they had to get first to help save her. It has healing powers. When the flower is still in bloom it is just waved/touched and it heals. As it dies super smart Talak crushes it up and has Josie drink the petals. Well I hope the extra comments helped. As soon as I figure out how to put designers in my like pile I will be excited to have you work on future projects. The series has 8 total planned with a spin off series for their kids. Also all the adult books are also being modified for young adult. That's a lot of covers. So thank you all for such great submissions. Sorry I haven't used the star rating yet but I'm not sure I like what the stars represent. As we come into the final days I will mark off the stars. Thanks again for all the hard work.

• Open on font style. Open on colors though main characters eyes are emphasized in book blue-green and are referred to as color of an Ammolite gem. The only other main colors are the bright light of the portal and Isis's amber amulet.
