Mascot Design Brief

Our roofing business has been around since 1980 - our branding has been around almost as long. We are a family owned and operated business with traditional values coupled with modern business acumen. We are seeking to refresh our branding. We have a separate "logo design" project posted, but this project is for creating a "character" design to accompany our various marketing (website, print materials, business card, etc.). Note that this is only a design for the "character" or "mascot" that is next to the logo and takes the form of a cartoon character.

Requirements

Must have

• 1) Redesign of character in original logo (attached) 2) Character should be identifiable as roofer or contractor 3) Character should be cute, friendly, personable, 4) Design should be flexible so that we can allow character to "point" or gesture as necessary on various marketing materials. 5) Character must be a man that is represented as a cartoon.

Nice to have

• Shirt may say "Hicks Roofing" on it. In concept, we like the "pink panther" context used throughout Owens Corning products (see attached).

Should not have

• 1) character should not have any serious traits 2) character should not have any overly funny traits
