PowerPoint Design Brief

The goal of this slide is to visually convey that Product A does a far superior job of creating and organizing content to find your answer than the competitor's Product B. Product A not only has more content, it also has a much more granular organization of that content which makes it easier to find your answer.

Story:

1) A user would like to find the answer to a specific issue that he/she is researching.

2) Both Product A and Product B start with the same General Document on the topic. But this General Document itself doesn't actually have the specific answer to the user's issue.

3) At this point the user needs to browse to related content to find their answer.

4) Product A provides the user with 400 related documents specifically related to that #1 document. The 400 related documents are organized into discrete categories and sub-categories (child categories), such that within each sub-category there are a small number of documents on a specific issue.
a) There may be 10-30 categories, with 3-5 sub-categories in each category (total 90 categories and sub-categories)
b) The categories are organized alphabetically.

5) Product B provides the user with only 250 related documents which are also categorized.
a) Product B also has only has one-third (1/3) the number of categorizes and sub-categories of Product A. So a total of 30 categories and sub-categories.
b) The categories are organized alphabetically.

6) Product A contains a category that relates to the user’s issue, and then a more specific sub-category which provides 11 closely related documents. Thus the user is able to quickly identify the 11 of the 400 related documents relevant to the issue they are researching, when starting with the General Document.

7) Product B has no categories specifically addressing the issue they are researching. Thus the user must manually navigate through all categories to see if any of the 250 related documents address the issue which may take a long time.

Presentation to audience:

The slide must visually convey the point to the audience with limited use of text.

Preferably this design will be done in Photoshop and then exported as PNG to be placed inside a PPT (7x5 = 1024px x 768px).
