Logo Design Brief

* The company, Vegan ABC, needs a logo to represent its business.
* Vegan ABC is a startup dedicated to supplying delicious vegan foods as an option for consumers that wish to eat more plant-based foods, and for commercial operations that wish to offer more choices for their customers. Our customers are main stream local restaurants, as well as local consumers.
* Our Mission Statement is: To improve the health, environment and compassion of the planet by offering plant-based foods that are delicious, craveable, reasonably priced and readily accessible throughout North America, and ultimately, the world.
* Our foods our designed to taste closely like main-stream American meaty meals, but are completely plant-based.
* Some examples of our products include meaty-tasting vegan burgers, vegan pulled pork barbecue, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Chocolate Chip Cookies, "Meat and Cheese" Lasagna, and stuffed cabbage.

Target Market(s)

* Restaurant owners, consumers buying prepared meals and frozen convenience meals that are plant based, hearty.

Requirements

Must have

• * Want a clean, modern look.
  * Stylistic
  * Simple and basic
  * A unique, readily recognizable symbol
  * Dynamic

Nice to have

• * It would be nice to be able to separate the graphic part of the logo from the business name. So sometimes we can just show the logo graphic (like Nike's swish, or Apple's graphic).
  * The ideal would be an abstract graphic with a nice representation of the text "Vegan ABC", but be possible to separate the two for different end uses.
  * More abstract than accurate representation
  * Prefer to keep the number of colors to a minimum (1 to 3, no more than 4)
  * Should still look nice when rendered on photo-copied paper in shades of black and white.
  * Our business is about delicious food, and presenting more options for people when they want to eat. It would help if the logo could convey that in some way.

Should not have

• * No Cartoonish characters
  * No Anthropomorphic vegetables (no plants with faces, etc)
  * No variations on school letter blocks for ABC
  * Nothing related to school, learning, or other typical pedantic meanings for the letters "ABC".
  * Do not default to green leaves, or blatant foliage
  * Avoid variations on the recent trend toward green "Save the Planet" imagery
