Logo Design Brief
This logo is being created for a new software product directed to pathologic anatomy laboratories. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatomical_pathology to get an idea of what that is (assuming you’re a normal person that has no clue on what pathologic anatomy laboratories do :)).
It’s a Portuguese company, the name has a special meaning in Portuguese because “pathologic” is written “patológico”, sounds like the name “pato”. Moreover, “pato” means “duck” in Portuguese and we would like the animal to be associated with the logo. It can be explicitly a duck or something remotely related like a duck feet borderline.
We would like the logo to be adaptable to other “pato” related products. Like “pato-box” or “pato-cage”.
Just like twitter does it:

We would like to comunicate:
- Professional
- User-friendly / User-Satisfaction
- Pathologic anatomy oriented (ideally, it should be visually clear that this product is for pathologic anatomy laboratories).
Modern looking. Having text into the image or not… is open to ideas. We are open to evaluate all ideas, no limits.
