Logo Design Brief

We are a start-up company looking for a bold, clean and creative logo. My company is a real estate firm that finds investment properties for landlords, house rehabbers, and other real estate professionals. My company is located in Baltimore, Maryland. However, we also work in Washington, D.C and Virginia. We would like to see designs that have a pop of color but not to overbearing. The name of the company is (DMV Property Scouts). The DMV is short for (Washington, D.C, Maryland, and Virginia). We would like the design to be a outline of the three states and some type of character standing or hovering over the states with a magnifying glass looking down at houses. Not sure if the character is necessary, but the magnifying glass is. Also, maybe there can be some sort of abbreviation on the states, so they can be clearly identified.
