Web Design Brief

We’re going to build a new, lean shopping site: Store.com. The site will have two primary pages: A home page and a products listing page.

The focus for Store.com is mobile, but it must also have a desktop presence as well. — The goal of the site is to quickly match consumers with the products they want to find, making it as easy as possible for them to click through to a merchant to buy that product.

Both the URL and the name of the site will be simply: Store.com

You have creative control over the experience. For your reference, we’ve attached rough wireframes as guidance on some of the elements we expect to have on the pages.

Background:
Initially, all traffic will be paid marketing. The initial landing page above-the-fold needs to entice the user to interact with the page - especially to interact with the ads and merchant listings. The user should be able to quickly/easily find what they are looking for to reduce bounce rates. Bonus points for features that enhance clickability (ex: xxl-sale.com's magnifying glass click-out)

We will mostly be distributing the products listing page. The home page is secondary in priority as it’s not in active distribution.

Sample Monetization Best Practices:
- Easy-to-select tap targets for desktop and mobile.
- Do not number results. All titles should be left-aligned.
- Need clean, obvious search box and bold search button. The search box is an obvious call to action and also frames the experience as searchable.

Guidance for ad placement:
Desktop - A placeholder of 350px beneath the header
Mobile - A placeholder of 200px beneath header
