Web Design Brief

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN EXTENDED. Please read the PROJECT EXTENSION DOCUMENT BEFORE STARTING WORK ON ANY DESIGNS.


We are looking for a colourful bold new template design for our JOOMLA HOMEPAGE and a matching design for our new WORDPRESS BLOG.

The website will help pet owners work out which insurance policy best meets their needs. The aim of the website is to explain policy differences in a plain clear manner.

The website will need to have a professional colourful image. It needs to be BOLD, CLEAN AND SHARP rather than soft, pastel and cuddly.

COLOUR SCHEME
The website needs to have a bold colourful design on a white background.
On the inner pages we will have five different types of policies which will be colour coded. We would ideally therefore like to incorporate five distinct colours in the design. See attached document for example of colour schemes we like.

LOGO
We want to keep the existing logo. Please find the file attached. You may though change the logo colours.

CONTENT
One of the reasons for the new design is that we want to change the style of the homepage and include new content. Our current homepage can be found at www.pet-insurance-surveys.co.uk.

FEEDBACK
I will provide lots of feedback on all designs submitted so that together we can get the best result.

For clarification this is a DESIGN ONLY project. Our website developer will view the designs before we make our final choice as he wants to ensure he can develop "sharp, practical and most importantly light weight web interface" from the design.

Target Market(s)

Pet owners in the UK who are confused about pet insurance. It therefore needs to be a bold design which is plain, clean and easy to read. It should use bold colours rather than pastels and should not use "cuddly" images.
