We'll be reviewing the latest submissions very soon. I glanced at yours and can tell you immediately it would be in the top 3. Great concept. Just a couple of things stood out to me:
1. the white back makes me think of a silverback gorilla... it could be construed as lighting but it drew my attention away from the logo and face of the monkey.
2. I think if the tail were out the back vs under it would be more obvious that it's a monkey if you're looking at it from a distance
3. The cut off limb made me think captivity... wonder if there's a way to keep it short but make it look more like a branch in the forest.

LOVE the professional look with the frame around the logo and the circle behind gives the feel of a morning sunrise... very cool. I'll sit down with my partner and do a formal soon but wanted you to get some feedback asap. I'd also want to visualize what the logo would look like on a dark chocolate bag. Thanks for a great effort!
