Logo Design Brief
We sell wastewater treatment systems that make sure cities and towns have clean, pure water. These municipalities have to clean the wastewater (yes, poop) from their water systems and turn it into clean water that can go back into their homes...and the industry norm seems to be a dead boring logo. Can you change that?
The business is J&G Systems - and since there is no mention of water or treatment solutions in the name, you will have to hint at it in the design.
I know that the obvious designs will have blue water drops in the logo, but are there alternatives to that initial concept? We are looking for something clean and crisp that can also stand alone as a b/w design (this is a low priority, but something to consider). This design has to make small town city councils feel good about spending their money on a water treatment system and to show larger cities that we know what we are doing.
I like graphical elements, like beakers (but probably not test tubes) that give it a sense of "chemistry" without making them think that they are spending too much money on post-sale chemicals, but don't only if it's crisp and original.
I've uploaded some logos that I like to give you some preferences.

Requirements
Must have
- + Clean, simple design
- + Well thought out use of text and typography (J&G Systems) including proper kerning/letterspacing
- + Meaningful color choices - it has to speak to concept of clean and organized
Nice to have
- + It's ok to play with upper/lowercase contrast or removing character space (ie. J&GSystems)
- + Simple line work is appreciated when appropriate
Should not have
- There are lots of water droplet logos out there - if you use that concept, you can't look like everyone else...
