Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for our fluorescent dyes that would also be used on our website. We synthesize chemicals that can be attached to bacteria or DNA probes to make them glow. The unique property of our dyes is their long-lived glow, the luminescence persists long after the excitation light has been extinguished. Most of our dyes glow RED, some glow blue-green. The logo will appear on the product, small vials with a volume of about 1 ml.

Requirements

Must have

• Interesting colour scheme - the product is a brilliant luminescent dye, Red or blue-greens would be appropriate but not locked into any particular colour.

Nice to have

• It might be useful to have a benzene ring, chemical backbone, lab glassware or something to indicate we synthesize our dyes - some association with organic chemistry. A particular alignment of the logo text that creates a secondary structure is always favoured, eg 4D in our GaTor4D product forms an hourglass.
