Business Card Design Brief

Hello, we need a business card type design as a collateral piece to be placed in hospitals and other brick and mortar locations. The name of our company is www.spoonfulofcomfort.com and we are a gifting company that sends yummy chicken soup gift care packages across America. We have been featured on the Today Show to the cover of Entrepreneur magazine. We are also currently redoing a lot of our internal branding, but that going to take a few months and we don't want to wait until then, so we need a low cost solution for now.

The look and feel: We need something that is very high quality in terms of the paper stock as well as the look and feel. it needs to be simple, catchy, classy, elegant, and inexpensive to print.
We would like BOTH sides to be utilized and would like to see one version with a hole perforation to be able to potentially hang it on some sort of simple waterfall.

The other holder will be a simple, easy to use, and refill card holder that we can inexpensively place in hospitals.

CONTENT: There is not a lot of room to add things, we want it to look clean, and not busy also. Things we MUST include:
1. Spoonful of Comfort / logo
2. our website and # www.spoonfulofcomfort.com # is (877) 404-7678
3. 10% discounted code name "SPOON"

We want to grow our business in this channel and hope this will increase our awareness and people in the hospital the occasions from new baby, husbands, cancer, moms and dads, patients, surgery, will see this card and take it home to be used for a purchase.

How do we create that on this small piece?

We must tell them what we do.
"send a chicken soup care package to your loved one"

OUR STORY:

In October 2007, I received the phone call from my mother that she had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

I was shocked, scared and panicked. The hardest part about hearing the news, was that she lived in New Brunswick Canada and I lived in Florida. More difficult still, I had just returned the day before from a trip visiting her. With two young children in school, I couldn't just turn around and go back.

I was so upset and felt helpless being so far away. I needed to "Do Something". I looked into sending flowers or fruit, but nothing seemed appropriate. I wanted to show her how much I cared, and in some way comfort her.

I immediately thought of chicken soup - it's what she (like many mothers) used to make to comfort me. And the idea for Spoonful of Comfort was born.

Just six weeks later, I lost my mother.

During her final weeks she got lots of soup and other comforts from many of her 11 siblings and close friends. She never had the opportunity to try my soup.

However, in her honor, it is my goal to help others with sick loved ones. It is my promise to make and deliver a Spoonful of Comfort to your loved ones with as much care as if I were sending it to my own mother. They'll feel better and so will you. Whether you have an ailing mother, a child away at college with the flu, or a grandchild with an ear infection, Spoonful of Comfort can help you show that you care with gourmet gift baskets.

overall, we would like to have a broad use for this marketing tool so that the branding is generic, but, compelling enough to be used in a variety of locations.

Be CREATIVE!!! Have fun with it! Our brand is about comforting, care, helping, and we want it to feel warm, inviting, nostalgic, classical, vintage, unique, catchy. Not cheesy pls! We truly care about our customers and their experience with us so we want to live up to our reputation.
