Logo Design Brief

Whipstitch Games is an indie game development company for video games. Whipstitch is one word. Technically, it's a type of sewing stitch, but it's also slang for getting something done in a hurry. I've thought about using the sewing theme in my logo, but I would like something a little edgier. I've also considered the imagery of stitches being necessary after being flicked with a whip, but I'm not sure quite how to convey that. Also, it seems a bit gruesome, so I'm not sure it would be visually appealing. A stylized WS would work well too. As for colors, I like a good mint green, and prefer lighter colors on a dark gray (not quite black) background. It is important to me that I have a unique emblem that can stand on its own, with or without the company name included.
