Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a new Crossfit training studio opening in Pittsburgh called "Tedesco Body Shop". Areas of focus for TBS are fitness, strength, nutrition and speed.
The logo should include a mark (details below) and the logo text (Tedesco Body Shop)
For the mark, the client would like to see something half man and half machine with the machine being a robot or possibly a car engine. The client is looking for a mechanical feel to the logo mark because the client’s family has a long history in cars and racing and crossfit “makes people into machines”.
The client provided a sketch of their initial idea for the mark (attached, TBS-mark-client-sketch.jpg)
A brainstorm for the “mechanical” side of the man: half a gear for the head, and a smaller one for the eye; the a radiator or gas can display below the torso; a pulley at the shoulder and chest with a belt connecting the two; an upper arm using an axle, with the bicep area being the differential (center bulge); forearm is a muffler. Sample images are attached, TBS-sketch-references.zip
NOTE: The client is NOT tied to this sketch. It is here for your reference, but you are not tied to the design.
The lines of the mark should be thin, and primarily outlines (less significant detail within the figure to allow for clean printing and display at small sizes.
Colors: TBD. For this first round, please focus on creating the logo in black and white. We will apply color once logo design finalists are selected.
