Web Design Brief

Our client needs a website built from scratch. The website is called Pics2Canvas and is essentially a website that allows you to upload a photo, order and pay and your photo is printed onto a canvas. A closely related website is http://www.pics2book.co.za/ however this project needs a clean, fresh design that encourages purchases.

Pics2canvas will be a dedicated website which allows users to upload and print a single image for large format printing.

The website flow will consist of the following:

• A landing page will be designed which showcases the product offering and offers simple and easy to understand instructions on how to get a photo up- loaded and delivered to their door.

• An upload page will exist that allows users the ability to upload a photo to the website for printing.

• Once the user has uploaded a photo the website will ensure that the dimensions are good enough for printing onto canvas and advise the user accordingly if it is not suitable.
• Once the photo has passed this validation we will take the user to a new page that will give them a preview of their photo. Here they will be given a chance to place the photo correctly should the need arise.

• Once the user is happy with the photo placement they will click on the next button which will take them to the payment and delivery page whereby they will need to complete all the fields.

• Once done, a final order page will appear confirming all the details of the order as well as payment and delivery information. Once the user is satisfied he can click the order button.

  3. Photo placement page (which allows users to align their photo onto the canvas)
  4. Order & Payment page

Should not have

• The design should not use old style fonts and shoddy illustrations. If illustrations are used they have to be clean, simple, stylish.
