Logo Design Brief

The project is called QuarterMaster (written with capitalised Q and M) and is a computer system for companies who rent out lighting/sound/video staging equipment, to keep track of stock, raise quotes, invoices amongst other tasks.

Name derives from Quartermaster being either an individual soldier or a unit who specializes in distributing supplies and provisions to troops...

I realise that its quite a long name to include entirely in a logo, ideally I'd like like a logo that could be used alone, with options to incorporate it with the name when required. Perhaps a logo constructed from a styled Q & M that could expand out with the full title text.
