Logo Design Brief
Logo design to be used as platform for stationery and web (social media and marketing). I'd like something that conveys a less stern, austere appearance that is typical of law firms (no courthouses, gavels, law books, etc). Our firm is focused on families going through divorce, custody issues. I'd like to emphasize that I am a solo practitioner--female, so something more soft and feminine is my goal. While we offer typical litigation services, our focus is on alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration). I'd like the logo to be professional yet lend an approachable feel. The sentiment I'd like to convey is purposeful, useful, professional and compassionate. Again, please no columns or scales or symbols typically related to the legal profession. Soft, professional and accomodating.
Target Market(s)

Requirements
Must have
- The law firm's name, "White Law Office, LLC" I am not concerned about the comma. I'm even open to "Law Office" being less dominant than my last name, "WHITE".
Nice to have
- Creative use of colors and font to convey sentiment of approachability yet professional. Compassionate yet discerning. Ideally I'd like to have space to insert tag line in the future. Nice to have something familiy oriented. I don't want to use classical children holding hands with parents but if it can be done creatively, that would be nice. Children, mothers, fathers, families in transition--that is the nature of my business. Please see my current website for more information: www.toriwhitelaw.com Perhaps the website can be more directive to help resolve what I am looking for.
Should not have
- Gavel, courthouse (image), law books, column. While the color blue is typical of the profession, I'm fine with using it as a secondary color but I do not want blue to be the dominant color. Our niche is offering legal solutions that are atypical, so the logo should be somewhat apart from industry standards while still conveying professionalism and trustworthiness.
